Hobart: Special Sail-away

It being our 4th trip on Regent, and having accumulated enough nights, we've made the gold level and received an invite to the special sail-away.

The main menu was oysters!  There was also an abundance of waiters offering canapés  and bartenders offering bubbly, OR, anything else you wanted to drink!

Just one of the 3 or 4 serving stations.  The Horizon Lounge is aft (aka, the blunt end of the ship,) on deck 5.  The winds had changed to breezes so it was perfect to be out on the deck as we began our sail away from Hobart.  Yes, that is Tom outside on the left.

Another of the serving stations.

Outside on the deck, the reflection of Hobart and the serving station thru the glass made for a perfect picture of a perfect sail-away.  Yes, the people reflected in the panel are me and Tom!

As we sailed into the appropriately named Storm Bay, the winds picked up and everyone retreated inside!  Fortunately, there was plenty of room for all.

Regent on board Cruise Consultant Michael Coleman, makes a few brief, and they were brief, comments to the group!  He did elude to a new ship coming out but no whens!  Michael is the guy responsible for encouraging us all to purchase another cruise while still on board!  We also saw him yesterday around lunchtime (in Hobart) with a group of folks that looked to be local Travel Agents.  Poor guy, what a cushy job!!

A very nice lady sitting next to us, offered to take a pic!

A look forward from our balcony as we head back into the Tasman Sea!

As we sailed out of Storm Bay and into the Tasman Sea, we were reminded of a Butler's comment yesterday when we were crossing  the Tasman.  He told us his first cruise was from Sydney to Auckland and crossing the Tasman Sea made him have second thoughts on his career choice!
